Welcome to Cadillac High School,
It is an honor to serve students, staff, and families as Interim Principal at Cadillac High School. Cadillac Area Public Schools has a proud tradition of excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. The key to this success is the strong partnership between the school, our parents, and our community.  We provide enriched learning experiences in the classroom and continued learning opportunities beyond the school walls. The faculty and staff believe that when students are engaged, challenged, and supported, all students will be successful.

At Cadillac Area Public Schools we are committed to maximizing the potential of each student by building a community of respect and through high academic expectations.  Our goal is to work together with families to support children and having a positive school experience.

I thank each student for their efforts and challenge them to reach higher. CAPS is preparing its students to meet the challenges of the 21st century and I welcome you to be a part of our legacy.

Yours in education,
Kelly Buckmaster

Chas Ferrell

Salutations! My name is Chas Ferrell and I can’t tell you how excited I am for the opportunity to be the Assistant Principal at Cadillac High School! I grew up in Flint, Michigan before leaving to pursue higher education at Central Michigan University. At CMU I earned a Bachelor's degree in Education with a Social Studies major. I started my career as a Social Studies teacher and football coach in Farwell, and during that tenure earned a Masters degree in Business, Management, and Technology in Education from Ball State University. From there, I then accepted the opportunity as the Clare Adult Education Coordinator and Alternative Education Teacher. During this assignment, I completed my Masters in Educational Leadership through the American College of Education. My hobbies are competitive bowling and football. To close, I am beyond excited for the opportunity to work with students, parents, staff and the Cadillac community to help everyone reach their full potential. Go Vikings!
