A Summer Adventure

Students show their books int he Library CAPS students read all summer    because it is fun.

Cadillac Schools provides a summer reading program to all elementary students to encourage a love of reading and to prevent summer slide. By providing encouragement, open book swaps, games and incentives, hundreds of CAPS students enroll and participate in the summer reading program. Grant funded, staff provide high interest books at all levels for students to read, swap and switch throughout the summer.

Students select their books for summer reading

Family engagement partners work with students and families to make sure there are no barriers and that all children have access to books they enjoy and are at the appropriate level. In our second summer, participation and excitement at our book swap events was contagious. We look forward to welcoming back all our summer readers!
