I am honored to serve the students, staff, parents and community of Cadillac as Superintendent of Cadillac Area Public Schools. Approximately 20 years ago I moved to Cadillac to begin my career as a junior high English teacher, and I quickly fell in love with the people in this community. Throughout my career at CAPS, I have had the opportunity to serve children as a teacher, coach, adviser, assistant principal, and superintendent. My three children attend Cadillac Area Public Schools and are fortunate to have amazing educators and opportunities that will shape their future. I believe that ALL kids can learn and deserve to be challenged and supported. I am proud to be a part of the Viking tradition of excellence!

I accepted the position of Athletic Director for Cadillac Schools in 2017.  I previously served as Athletic Director in Newberry, Michigan for eight years and also coached basketball, football and track teams there.  As Athletic Director I am commitment to students, parents and the greater Cadillac community.

I am a firm believer that all students deserve the opportunity to become a stronger, more fit individuals and it is my goal to provide that positive and successful experience for the student athletes at CAPS. I believe that athletics is an extension of the classroom and when those two venues are combined, it will ensure that we hold students to a high standard of character, accountability and pride.

I am really enjoying being in Cadillac with my wife Heather and our two daughters.
